1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Pro-Am Playbook (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Description of Service

Pro-Am Playbook is a free strategy visualization tool for competitive NBA 2K Pro-Am teams. The Service allows users to create, save, share, and view animated basketball play diagrams.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We make no guarantees regarding uptime, availability, or the continued existence of the Service.

3. Account Registration

To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. When registering, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information (including your email address and username)
  • Maintain the security of your password and accept responsibility for all activity under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
  • Not create more than one account per person
  • Not use another person's account without their permission

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are inactive for an extended period.

4. User-Generated Content

4.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of the play diagrams and other content you create on the Service ("User Content"). By submitting User Content to the Service, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, reproduce, and distribute your User Content solely in connection with operating and providing the Service.

4.2 Community Sharing

When you publish plays to the community section, you understand and agree that your User Content (including your username) will be publicly visible to all users. You grant other users the right to view your shared plays.

4.3 Content Restrictions

You agree not to submit content that:

  • Is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
  • Contains hate speech, discrimination, or promotes violence
  • Infringes on the intellectual property rights of any third party
  • Contains malicious code, spam, or unauthorized advertising
  • Impersonates any person or entity, or misrepresents your affiliation
  • Violates any applicable law or regulation

We reserve the right to remove any User Content that violates these Terms, without prior notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or related systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service, servers, or networks connected to the Service
  • Use automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access the Service without our written permission
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Circumvent any rate limiting, security measures, or access controls
  • Use the Service to collect personal information about other users without their consent
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense access to the Service

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Our IP

The Service, including its design, code, logos, graphics, and other proprietary materials, is owned by Pro-Am Playbook and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our proprietary materials without written permission.

6.2 NBA 2K Disclaimer

Pro-Am Playbook is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to NBA 2K, Take-Two Interactive, Visual Concepts, 2K Games, or the National Basketball Association (NBA). All trademarks, service marks, and trade names referenced belong to their respective owners. The Service is an independent fan-made tool for strategic planning purposes.

7. Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that:

  • The Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
  • The results obtained from using the Service will be accurate or reliable
  • Any errors in the Service will be corrected
  • The Service will be compatible with all devices, browsers, or operating systems

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL Pro-Am Playbook, ITS OPERATORS, CONTRIBUTORS, OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:

  • Your use of or inability to use the Service
  • Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your data or content
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service
  • Any content obtained from the Service

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR $100 USD, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Pro-Am Playbook and its operators from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from or related to:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your User Content
  • Your violation of any rights of a third party

11. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Pro-Am Playbook regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
